Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and a WA or compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a critical access, non-trauma hospital with 25 staffed beds
- Patient ratios of 1:3-4
- Day shifts on a 3x12 hour schedule with rotating weekends required
- Variable day and evening shift start times (0700, 1000, or 1200)
- No night shifts, on-call, or floating between units required
- Uses Epic charting system
- Teaching hospital setting
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Epic charting experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
- Experience managing patients on continuous IV sedation and vasopressors
- Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
- Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, and triage
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
- May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Scrub color is not restricted
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
