Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in an LTAC setting, requiring SC/compact license and prior LTAC MS/Tele experience.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required, may vary based on unit needs
• Floating required based on unit needs, within qualified competencies
• Uses Omnicell medication system
• Epic EMR utilized

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU required
• At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and wound care
• Manage complex patient needs such as ventilator weaning, chest tubes, and renal care
• Perform stroke scale assessments and monitor for neurological changes
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers considered based on relevant experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible, with exceptions for night shift MS/Tele travelers requiring only 50+ miles from the contracted campus
