Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
• Level I Trauma Center work setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• 14-week assignment length
• Candidates float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Triage skills preferred

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
• Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
• Skills in respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and care of ventilated patients preferred
• At least one supervisor reference from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• No history of licensure hits will be accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include emergency patient triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Billable orientation and annual modules are completed as part of the assignment
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests submitted afterward will not be approved
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must be separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I ER experience
