Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and telemetry experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:6-7
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Telemetry monitoring required
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or Compact) in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; PALS also required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration
- Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen administration
- Experience managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias
- Wound care and isolation precaution/PPE experience
- One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
- Completion of PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance within 48 hours of contract signing
- Completion of lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Support for orthopedic, ortho trauma, and total joint replacement patients
- Navy blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Any previous permanent or per diem employment with the facility must be disclosed and must have ended at least 18 months prior to applying as a traveler
