Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool position requiring a compact RN license or PA license, BLS certification, and Epic charting experience.

Details

Float pool position covering MS/Tele units and Rehab as needed
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
Every other weekend (EOW) work expected
Floating required to MS/Tele units and Rehab as clinical needs dictate
No on-call responsibilities
May care for COVID-positive patients

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact or PA) currently in hand - no license hits accepted
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Experience with Rapid Response/Code team protocols
IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management skills
Respiratory care experience including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
Isolation precautions and PPE competency

Additional Information

Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Rehab units as float staff
Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day); if only 2 holidays fall within contract, 1 of 2 is required
Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates offered at a reduced rate
Candidates undergo a clinical pre-screen followed by a manager interview for final decision
Travel pairs accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
