Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level IV NICU offering night shift assignments for candidates with at least 1 year of NICU or PICU experience.
Details
- Level IV NICU setting within a 40-bed unit at an academic teaching hospital
- Traveler may float between neonatal and pediatric units depending on facility needs
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 4x12 hours
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No on-call requirement
- Epic charting system preferred
- Scrubs provided
Requirements
- Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable
- RRT certification required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU, or 1 year of PICU experience
- Skills required: Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Extubation, Intubation Assist
- PA fingerprints required prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care to critically ill and extremely premature infants in a Level IV NICU with on-site neonatal surgery and 24/7 neonatology coverage
- Work within an academic teaching hospital that is part of a large regional health system
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced rate
- Planned time off must be submitted at time of application and must not interfere with completing pre-start compliance requirements
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
