Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with hand therapy experience for a day-shift outpatient rehabilitation position in Stockton, CA.

Requirements

• Active PT license in California required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Continuing education courses preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Computer skills including typing, Word, and Internet use
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour work days
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and other providers to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Coordinate with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
• Make independent decisions regarding patient care
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures
• Familiarity with PT billing policy including Medicare, workers comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay preferred
• Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
