Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma center, requiring NC or compact RN licensure and CTICU experience.
Details
- Level 1 Trauma center Cardiothoracic ICU, a 40-bed unit part of the Center for Heart and Vascular Care
- Cares for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplants, LVAD, ECMO, aortic/thoracic aneurysm repairs, and complex esophageal, thoracic and vascular surgeries
- Night shift, 7:00pm - 7:00am
- 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- CTICU-focused experience required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive clinical nursing care to complex cardiothoracic ICU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
- Utilize effective communication systems and promote cost-effective, culturally competent care
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
