Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift community hospital role requiring 2+ years L&D and postpartum experience with travel experience required.
Details
- Community hospital setting within the Labor and Delivery unit
- Assignment mix of approximately 80% L&D and 20% Mother/Baby/Postpartum
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Weekend rotation coverage required, to be discussed during interview
- Flexibility for floating within the hospital as needed
- Uses Paragon charting system, with future transition to Epic planned
Requirements
- Active LA state or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience with postpartum experience required
- Travel experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, FHM
- Community hospital experience required
- Charting system experience required (any system accepted)
- One professional reference required
- Disclosure of any license disciplinary actions required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care across labor, delivery, and postpartum/mother-baby units
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Minimal RTO requests preferred, including around holidays
- Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Orientation includes a virtual first day followed by two on-site days with additional EMR training
- Candidates with recent professional cancellations will be reviewed prior to approval
