Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring ACLS certification and weekend on-call availability.
Details
- Surgical Services department specializing in GI/Endoscopy procedures
- Day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- On-call requirement of 2 weekend call shifts per month and 1 call night per week
- Floating to other departments within Surgical Services required
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact license required
- Current BLS certification via AHA required
- Current ACLS certification via AHA required
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of experience in GI/Endoscopy nursing specialty preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness per protocol
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
- Previous CHRISTUS employees must be separated for at least 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
