Description
American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Minimal on-call requirements with weekend coverage on a rotating on-call basis only
- No floating required between units or sister facilities
- Uses EPIC EMR and Sectra PACS charting systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Current BLS, ARRT (R), and SCRSQA certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Radiation badge required, must be provided by candidate/agency
- C-arm and fluoroscopy experience preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremity, spine and pelvis, chest and thorax imaging
- Experience with fluoroscopy studies including arthrography, barium swallow, contrast enema, myelography, and upper GI series
- Experience with mobile/surgical procedures including C-arm and O-ARM
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and contrast media administration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, and OR settings
- Conduct bedside/portable procedures as needed
- Scrub color required: black or teal
- First-time travelers accepted depending on position
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- 60-mile radius rule applies, with non-local candidates prioritized
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, dependent on unit needs
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
