Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years experience and ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Outpatient cardiology setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Epic charting system experience required
• Preferred equipment includes GE, PACS, Philips, and Siemens
• Biweekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification required (does not require both)
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I and teaching/community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include adult echo, 2-D and 3-D echo, bubble study, color doppler, imaging with contrast agents, treadmill stress echo, RVIT, and RVOT
• Experience with diastology, LV strain/LV volume, proximal isovelocity surface area, and Simpson's rule calculations
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform adult echocardiography studies including 2-D, 3-D, and stress echo procedures
• Work within adult acute care, adult outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings as needed
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no exemptions
• Maximum RTO of 5-7 days must be included with consideration
• Local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility at a reduced rate
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must disclose this history and must not have been a permanent employee within the past 6 months
• Travelers may have up to three absences per 13-week contract; excessive tardiness or no call/no show may result in contract review
