Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT-R certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit located within the operating room, featuring 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
- Procedures also performed in radiology and CT rooms
- Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
- Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, angiography/intervention of all body parts except the heart, Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography and intervention, various biopsies using fluoro/CT/ultrasound, venous access (port, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and various drains (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
- 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- On-call required 5-7 days per month, including weekend on-call
- No floating required between like units
- Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
- EPIC charting system used
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience required
- BLS and ARRT R certifications required
- WA State License required if applicable
- ACLS and ARRT VI certifications preferred
- Required skills include contrast administration, angiograms, nephrogram, and venous access
- Preferred skills include C-Arm operation, biopsies, ablations, and kyphoplasty
- Experience with venous access and port accessing/management required
- Proficiency in sterile technique and maintaining sterile field required
- Experience in equipment set up, access site prep, room circulating, and scrubbing required
Additional Information
- Level II Trauma Center encompassing outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services
- 571 total staffed beds across both campuses
- Scrubs of any color permitted except reddish orange
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- First-time travelers considered with minimum 2 years of experience
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
- Parking is facility paid
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
