Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT-R certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit located within the operating room with 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
• Additional procedures performed in a dedicated radiology room and CT suite
• Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
• Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, whole-body angiography and intervention (excluding cardiac), Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography and intervention, fluoro/CT/ultrasound-guided biopsies, venous access (ports, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and various drain placements (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call required approximately 5-7 days per month, with weekend requirements limited to on-call coverage
• No floating required between like units
• Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
• Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• BLS and ARRT-R certification required; ACLS and ARRT-VI preferred
• WA State license required if applicable
• Level II Trauma Center experience
• Required skills include contrast administration, angiograms, nephrogram, and venous access
• Preferred skills include C-arm operation, biopsies, ablations, and kyphoplasty
• Proficiency in vascular studies including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and endovascular interventions preferred
• Experience with genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, and neurological IR procedures preferred
• Must be able to scrub in and maintain sterile field, prep access sites, and function as room circulator
• First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures across neuro, vascular, abdominal/pelvic, and genitourinary specialties
• Responsibilities include equipment set-up, sterile field maintenance, and circulating duties
• Scrubs may be any color except reddish-orange
• Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates live outside a 50-mile radius unless accepting a lower bill rate
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month break if outside the 50-mile radius
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the system
