Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position requiring floating to multiple Med/Surg and Tele units.
Details
- Medical Surgical Float position on 6 South unit
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- Required to float to other Med/Surg units as needed, including 5 MS and 4 Tele units as part of a resource pool
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, oxygen administration, wound care/wound vac, isolation precautions/PPE, colostomy/ileostomy care, and PCA/Heparin medication management
- Nursys or other license verification required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit, floating to other units as needed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
- Former staff RNs of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
