Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least one year of experience and a compact or OK RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-7:15)
• 36 hours per week required
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating to like units within scope required, based on facility needs
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management preferred
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Wound care and wound vac experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted for this role
• Must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Former staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least one year before returning as a travamiler
• No more than 3 days of RTO auto-approved, and no RTO during first week of orientation
• No travel pairs or groups accepted for this position
