Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic charting, and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit supporting General, Ortho, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain surgical services
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Call responsibilities split between 3 RNs, averaging 10 shifts per month
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Skills and experience with procedures including thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, urology, and ortho/spine cases
- Proficiency with equipment such as cell saver and knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures
Additional Information
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for the travel rate
- Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible for consideration
- Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
