Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring an active NY license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

Work in the Medical/Surgical ICU, including burn and thermoregulation cases
Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
Patient ratio of 1:2-3
Floating required
Every other weekend required
Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

Active NY RN license required in hand
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Epic charting experience required
Charge nurse experience highly preferred
Community hospital experience preferred
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, and vasoactive/cardiac drip titration
Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions

Additional Information

Deliver critical care nursing to ICU patients including burn and thermoregulation cases
Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
First-time travelers may be considered
Previous employees must wait 6 months system-wide before returning
Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
