Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring telemetry and cardiac drip management experience on night shift.
Details
- PCU/Stepdown unit with telemetry monitoring
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Every other weekend requirement
- No on-call responsibilities
- Possible floating within scope to meet facility needs
Requirements
- Active IN RN license or compact license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/telemetry experience required
- Cardiac medication and infusion experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, respiratory care, and IV therapy
Additional Information
- Provide care for cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal patients requiring close monitoring
- Responsibilities may include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
- Skilled in IV therapy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response protocols preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least three years before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, with holiday RTO requiring availability to work one of three major holidays
