Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring an active IL RN license and 2 years of cardiac/stepdown experience.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit in a 116-staffed-bed hospital
• Fast-paced unit with high patient turnover and a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population includes COPD, CHF, A fib with RVR, mild renal failure, sepsis, chronic vents, chest pain R/O MI, overdose/ETOH withdrawal, COVID, and pleural effusion
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (6:40 PM to 7:10 AM), with 3x12 schedules also accepted
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required, must be in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience on cardiac, MS/Tele, and stepdown units required
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing (CAPRs/PAPRs are not permitted)
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and care for a fast-paced cardiac population with frequent turnover
• Must be able to work one holiday from Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
• Navy blue scrubs required
