Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring 2 years of cardiac/tele experience and IL licensure.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced Telemetry unit with high patient turnover
• Patient population includes COPD, CHF, A-fib with RVR, mild renal failure, sepsis, chronic vents, chest pain R/O MI, overdose/ETOH withdrawal, COVID, and pleural effusion
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule, either 3x12s or 4x12s (18:40-07:10)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No floating required outside scope
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses EPIC for charting

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand, pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience on cardiac, MS/Tele, and stepdown units required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must be able to work one of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided or permitted
