Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP night shift position requiring L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal obstetrical care
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
• 13-week assignment
• Flexible floating to other units as facility needs require

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• PALS required, may be obtained within 30 days of start
• AWHONN certification preferred, can be completed onsite
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience
• AHCA certification required for FL placement
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide shift accountability for safe delivery of obstetrical patient care using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care
• Delegate and supervise care provided by assigned personnel based on staff education and experience
• Must secure housing within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance and provide the address
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
• RTO requests must be less than one week
