Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care setting requiring ARRT and BLS certification.

Details

Acute care Interventional Radiology department with 6 procedure labs, pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas
Average of 20-30 cases per day
Patient population includes vascular, neuro, drains, and lines cases
Job duties include scrubbing, passing supplies, and setting up/breaking down procedure rooms
Uses EPIC EMR and Philips monitors
Charge RN covers 0730-1700 shifts, assists with cases and lunch coverage but does not take patients
Unit staffed with IR Techs and 1 PCT
Schedule consists of 4x9 hour day shifts per week with call requirements
Weeknight call required (7-9 shifts in 6 weeks)
Weekend and holiday call required
Call response time is 30 minutes
No floating required; assignment is dedicated to either cath lab or IR
3-5 days of unit-specific orientation provided

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist required
ARRT and BLS certification required
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Active state license required if applicable
Experience with vascular, neuro, and line/drain procedures required
Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care IR setting

Local candidates accepted; local rate applies for those within 50 miles of the facility
No radius restriction for eligibility
Negative drug screen required for consideration
COVID vaccination not required
Facility observes a call-off policy equivalent to 12 hours per 13 weeks with no penalty
