Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with 2+ years of experience and AZ or compact RN license for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 3 trauma community hospital.
Details
- Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
- Level 3 Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
- Adult and geriatric patient population including total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB patients
- 40-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- 3x12 shift schedule from 7A-7P with every other weekend required
- Floating to IMC and ED expected
- No scheduled on-call, though flexing to on-call shifts may occur up to twice during the contract
- Uses Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinets, and Zoll defibrillators
- Medhost EHR used
Requirements
- Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- ADN required
- Recent acute care and telemetry experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio required
- Preceptor and charge experience a plus
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for a diverse Med/Surg Telemetry population with acute and chronic conditions
- Compassionate, positive, can-do attitude valued
- Black scrubs (top and bottom) required; open-toe shoes not permitted
- Weekly orientation provided
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
- Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
