Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery/LDRP RN for a night shift position requiring AWHONN FHM, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 6 LDR beds, a 2-bay PACU, 2 OR suites, 3 triage beds, and 3 outpatient testing beds
• Cares for Labor and Delivery, OB triage, and OB surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 1-2:1 for labor patients
• Utilizes OB emergency skills including hemorrhage and hypertension management
• RNs circulate OB surgical cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS, AWHONN FHM, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment
• Last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care including assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, and discharge coordination
• Facilitates patient and family education and discharge planning in coordination with Case Management
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and delegates tasks to other care team members appropriately
• Mentors staff members and nursing students and supports orientation of new staff
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
