Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I Trauma experience for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MA RN license.
Details
- Level I Trauma inpatient OR setting with 10 operating rooms
- Surgical population includes bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney/liver transplants
- 10-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Required to work up to 2 weekends per month, either on-call or working shifts
- On-call shifts include Sat/Sun/holiday coverage (7a-7p or 7p-7a) with a 30-minute response time
- Short call shift required once weekly, either 3a-7a or 5p-9p
- Primarily based at the West Main campus with possible floating to East campus or CVI OR
- Holiday coverage required for any holiday occurring during the contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand prior to start
- Experience in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant surgery required
- Skilled in scrubbing and/or circulating for general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma cases
- COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
Additional Information
- Provide surgical nursing support across a wide range of complex trauma and transplant procedures
- Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
- RTO requests must be submitted for approval prior to consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
- First-time travelers are not specifically excluded but prior travel experience may be preferred given the specialty complexity
