Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift Birth Center position requiring strong L&D skills and fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a Birth Center with 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 PP/AP (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR strongly preferred
• NP available on call for support

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
• Comfortable with or has some exposure to postpartum (PP) care
• Strong L&D skills including cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
• Able to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving
• Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support
• Scrub experience is a bonus but not required
• Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish) preferred due to patient population

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, and postpartum stages for mother and baby
• Strong preference for comfort with all aspects of postpartum care from transition to discharge
• Scrub Tech is always on site; scrub-trained RNs may occasionally assist with sick calls
• Teal scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
