Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring strong L&D and post-partum skills and WA or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the Birth Center unit of a hospital environment
- Unit includes 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 PP/AP (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
- 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR strongly preferred
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Strong L&D skills required including cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidural support, fetal monitoring, IV insertion, and Pitocin administration
- Must be able to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving and APGAR scoring
- Breastfeeding knowledge required
- Some exposure to post-partum care required, with strong preference for comfort in all aspects of PP care from transition to discharge for mom and baby
- Scrub experience is a bonus but not required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across L&D, antepartum, and post-partum stages
- NP available on-call for support
- Scrub Techs are on-site, with scrub-trained RNs occasionally used for sick calls
- Teal scrubs provided
- Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish) preferred due to patient population
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
