Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level IV NICU position on night shift, requiring RRT certification and at least 1 year of Level 3+ NICU or PICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 40-bed Level IV NICU at an academic teaching hospital
- May float between neonatal and pediatric units based on facility need
- Night shift, 4x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No on-call requirement
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Scrubs provided
Requirements
- Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable
- Current RRT certification required
- BLS and NRP certifications required, PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU or PICU
- Skilled in Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, extubation, and intubation assist
- PA fingerprints required prior to start
- Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care to critically ill and extremely premature infants in a Level IV NICU with on-site neonatal surgery and 24/7 neonatology coverage
- Work within an academic teaching hospital that is part of a large regional health system
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within 50 miles of the facility
- Planned time off must be submitted prior to start and should not interfere with completing pre-start compliance requirements
- Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
