Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and recent Epic charting experience.

Details

• Respiratory care unit within a hospital setting
• Adult critical care and pediatric patient population
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM-7:15 AM)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required unless otherwise stated
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RRT credential
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active compact or TN license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required, clearly documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam (one attempt only, or additional unbillable orientation hours will apply)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required

Additional Information

• Administer basic respiratory treatments including aerosolized medications via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI
• Perform chest physiotherapy (CPT), incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, and CPAP/BiPAP therapy
• Perform arteriocentesis and arterial blood gas interpretation
• Manage ventilator support including BiPAP, CPAP, flow-by, alarm troubleshooting, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Provide airway management including intubation/extubation assistance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests accommodated
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration, as additional RTO will not be approved afterward
