Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
- Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license in Montana or compact license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Certifications must not expire prior to start date
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care and health status
- Provides health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy
- Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Reviews and monitors treatment plans and refers patients as needed
- Promotes facility mission, vision, and values, and abides by service behavior standards
- Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Background check and drug screening results required, with candidates expected to complete drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
