Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license in Montana or compact license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care and health status
• Provides health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Reviews and monitors treatment plans and refers patients as needed
• Promotes facility mission, vision, and values, and abides by service behavior standards
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening results required, with candidates expected to complete drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
