Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and current RRT/CRT certification.

Details

• 13-week assignment on a night shift schedule
• 36 hours per week worked Sunday-Tuesday, with a rotating 4th night every other week extending through Thursday
• Shift hours are 6 pm to 6:30 am
• Includes some call and weekend responsibilities
• Holiday coverage is included

Requirements

• Active Colorado state license as a Respiratory Therapist required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• RPSGT certification required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs diagnostic testing including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and invasive and noninvasive diagnostic procedures
• Conducts blood gas and other relevant laboratory analysis
• Assesses patients through physical examination and interpretation of diagnostic data
• Applies respiratory therapeutics including medical gas therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, artificial airway management, airway clearance, and mechanical ventilation
• Evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions in a timely manner
• Participates in discharge planning and case management
• Engages in public education activities promoting cardiopulmonary wellness
• Attends mandatory safety in-services and department meetings
