Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology - CT department
• Department includes 1 CT scanner, 1 DR mobile unit, and 1 DR room
• Performs CT scans and general radiology exams including X-rays
• Coordinates scheduling for mobile MRI, ultrasound, and DEXA scan units
• Average combined caseload of 5 X-ray and CT studies per day
• Uses Epic EMR and Intellispace PACS system
• CT equipment is Toshiba, X-ray room is Carestream, and mobile unit is Siemens
• Monday-Friday day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• On-call requirement of 2 weeknights per week plus Friday nights, with a 20-minute response time
• 3 holidays coverage required per year
• May be asked to perform EKGs, with training provided if needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS and ARRT certification required
• ARRT certification does not require CT specialization for this position
• State license required if applicable
• IV starting capability preferred
• Prior imaging experience preferred

Additional Information

• No clinical involvement required for this role
• No in-house radiologist on staff
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs), though some lab personnel are Limited X-ray Techs
• Scrubs or casual wear preferred; no jeans permitted
• Department-specific orientation provided
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
