Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with DaVinci robotics and vascular case proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting, 14 beds, 1:1 patient ratio
• Robotics equipment used includes DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• On-call requirement of 1 night per week and up to 1 weekend per month
• Holiday rotation required unless the unit is closed

Requirements

• Active IA or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum of 24 months of current Operating Room experience required
• Proficient experience in DaVinci robotics required
• Proficient experience in vascular cases required, including TCAR, TAVR, bypass, endarterectomy, embolectomy, and AV fistula
• Proficient experience in general surgery required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Spine and scrub experience preferred
• Travel experience within the previous 15 months required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across general, vascular, and robotic surgical cases
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Prior UnityPoint Health employees, whether FTE or PRN float pool, are subject to separation policy restrictions when applying to travel in another market
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Limited time-off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday periods
• Clinical phone interview required as part of the screening process
