Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 24 months of recent cardiac/cath lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit in a regional hospital setting
- Patient population includes peripheral and coronary angio, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
- Average of 4 patients/scans per day
- Equipment used includes Artis Zee c-arm, Impella, IABP, and Acist Injector
- EMR: Epic
- 4x9 hour day shifts, 36 hours/week, with a 0645 start time
- Block shifts cannot be guaranteed
- No on-call requirements
- Weekend requirements to be determined
Requirements
- Minimum 24 months of current experience in Cardiac/Cath Lab required
- ARRT or RCIS/CCI certification required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; license required if applicable, and non-licensed applicants may apply for licensure upon offer acceptance
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy required
- Experience with peripheral and coronary angio cases required
- Experience with PCI and pacemaker procedures required
- Impella experience highly preferred
- Experience with Acist Injector, iFR, and IVUS highly preferred
- Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath discipline required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including angiography, PCI, and pacemaker implantation
- Hospital-provided light blue scrubs
- Contractors are required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
- First-time travelers will not be considered; candidates must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Past employees of the health system, whether FTE or PRN float pool, are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within the system
