Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an IMCU / Med Surg night shift position requiring Charge RN experience and specialized rehabilitation/trauma background.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit specializing in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry located inside the main hospital
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to a different position required starting mid-February
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg experience required
- Charge RN experience required, as nurse may assume charge role
- Experience with Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Cardiac Rehab, Trauma, and other serious injury cases required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must have their own vehicle as public transportation is not available in the area
Additional Information
- Care for patients with cardiovascular disease, internal medicine needs, physical medicine and rehabilitation needs, and psychiatric conditions
- Must be willing to transition to a float position starting in mid-February
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and must be submitted with the initial profile as scheduling requests cannot be accommodated after offer
- Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- Block scheduling will not be accommodated for this position
