Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a rotating shift Cardiovascular ICU position requiring MN licensure, cardiac experience preferred, and every weekend availability.

Details

• Work in the ICU Cardiovascular unit (4SW) of a hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Uses Epic EMR
• Rotating days and nights on 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee
• Required to work every weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be required to float to other ICUs (TNICU, MICU) or Med/Surg units when needed

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Adult and geriatric population experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients preferred
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills preferred
• Experience with Impella and balloon pumps preferred
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to specialty required
• Two supervisory references with employment dates required

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifespan following standards of nursing practice including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop and revise patient care plans and coordinate care across disciplines
• Participate in shared decision-making and continuous improvement of nursing practice standards
• Dress code requires Galaxy Blue scrubs
