Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active MI RN license and 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a 78-bed hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling available

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of profile upload
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required in hand at profile upload
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Conduct patient assessments and develop/update plans of care in collaboration with patients
• Provide and direct nursing care while evaluating outcomes
• Educate patients and families and document care accordingly
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities and staff meetings
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at time of profile submission; requests made after offer or at interview will not be approved
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted for this assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be included in profile at time of upload
