Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift position requiring recent hospital experience and the flexibility to float across multiple units.

Details

• Float Pool position within a hospital setting
• Required to float between the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Compact license not accepted; active or obtainable OR license required

Requirements

• Active or obtainable RN license (OR)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required, active or willing to obtain
• Recent hospital experience within the past 5 years required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Skills checklist required within 1 year of submission

Additional Information

• Applies the nursing process within RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Educates patients and their significant others on care and treatment plans
• Documents patient care accurately in the medical record
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing patient and unit needs
• Responds effectively to patient crises or emergency situations
• Maintains a friendly, helpful attitude and willingness to accept varied assignments
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
