Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level III unit requiring therapeutic cooling experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting
• 13-week assignment with 06:45-19:15 shift schedule
• Care for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support
• Manage patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
• Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
• Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
• Provide therapeutic hypothermia/cooling care for neonates

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required, 3-4+ years of Level III NICU experience preferred
• Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
• Ability to independently manage high-acuity, critically ill neonates
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization efforts
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team
• Provide education and emotional support to families throughout infant hospitalization
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred but first-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted subject to facility radius rule, which may affect pay rate
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
