Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring Level 1/AMC and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Medical unit setting within a Level 1/Academic Medical Center
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week, every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience at a Level 1 trauma center or Academic Medical Center required
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care for medical unit patients
• Administer medications, monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical changes
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to modify treatment plans based on patient response
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients required
• Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of the facility, at a reduced rate
• No validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking required
