Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown night shift position requiring surgical and telemetry patient care expertise.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post open heart, heart transplant, LVAD, leg bypass, rib resection, and pneumonectomy patients
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment length, with longer contracts available

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Extensive experience with surgical patient population and telemetry required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start date
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

• Provide advanced cardiac and post-surgical care to a complex progressive care patient population
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
• Candidates should discuss assignment extensions with management approximately 45 days before contract end date
