Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior high-acuity cardiac critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU within a critical care setting
• Patient population is 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure, including high-risk open heart recovery, heart transplant, and LVAD implant patients
• Manages advanced cardiac devices including ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, and Swan-Ganz/CCO monitoring
• Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR system
• Scheduled shifts run 06:45-19:15
• May float to MICU, SICU, or Medical/Cardiac Stepdown units as needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Preferred experience with cardiac advanced device therapy management, including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care as an RN, implementing and monitoring individualized care plans for high-acuity cardiac patients
• Administer physician and nursing orders in compliance with regulatory and quality improvement standards
• Lead discharge planning efforts in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Navy scrub color required for this unit
• Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates living near the facility
