Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit/IMC position requiring compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Details

Work in a high-acuity 20-bed Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
Care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring with advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
13-week assignment length

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

Administer medications, fluids, and treatments accurately according to physician orders
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
Follow strict infection control protocols
Participate in continuing education to stay current with IMC practices
Willingness to precept preferred
Supportive team environment with strong working relationships across hospital departments
Accepts local candidates at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
Only one submission permitted system-wide across Ascension facilities

Pros

In the mammogram department the managers are kind. The work load is low to steady. The staff is drama free. The schedule/location rarely changes. All and all great place to work.

Cons

Lunches are not always blocked off, only given 45 minutes. So might have to bring ur lunch. And eat at your work station.
