Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Sonographer for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of sonography experience in general/abdomen, non-high-risk OB/GYN, and vascular imaging.
Details
- Ultrasound department performing an average of 15 scans per day
- General, OB/GYN, and vascular patient population
- Exams include abdomen/RUQ with liver vessel evaluation, kidneys and bladder, pelvis (transabdominal and transvaginal), 1st trimester OB, limited 2nd/3rd trimester OB (BPP, measurements, fluid checks), testicle/scrotum evaluation, DVT/venous studies of arms and legs, ABIs, thyroid, aorta, and carotid imaging
- Assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures preferred but not required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend work as scheduled
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 24 months of experience as a Sonographer/in vascular ultrasound
- Experience in general/abdomen, non-high-risk OB/GYN, and vascular imaging required
- ARDMS (AB) certification required
- ARDMS (RVT) and ARDMS (OB/GYN) certifications highly preferred
- BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
- First-time travelers accepted if they meet the 2-year experience requirement
Additional Information
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays during the holiday season unless the unit is closed
- Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
- Driver's license and ARDMS certification documentation required for consideration
