Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk OB experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a full-service regional medical center
• High-risk OB patient population requiring medication infusions such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
• RNs are responsible for starting IVs, with anesthesia available as a resource
• RNs and lab staff complete phlebotomy while techs perform 12-lead EKGs
• RNs and techs share responsibility for patient transport
• Remote telemetry monitoring available
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
• At least 2 years of full-time experience in specialized units within the last 2 years
• Current EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments in the past 12 months working full time in an acute care setting
• Two clinical references required from the last two places of employment, covering the past year, including at least one from a Nurse Manager or Director
• References from each facility worked at within the past year required if applicable
• 7-year employment history required with explanations for any employment gaps over 30 days
• Current skills checklist valid within the past year required

• Leadership support available on both day and night shifts
• Best suited for a strong team player with a dependable, self-starter work ethic
• Facility is the only hospital in the county offering obstetrical, pediatric, and Level III NICU services
• Local candidates accepted
• Candidates residing more than 50 miles from the facility are eligible for the radius travel rate
