Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk OB experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a regional medical center
• High-risk OB patient population
• Requires experience with medication infusions including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
• RNs are responsible for starting IVs, with anesthesia available as a resource
• RNs and lab staff complete phlebotomy while techs perform 12 lead EKGs
• RNs and techs handle patient transport
• Remote telemetry monitoring available
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care setting required
• Current EMR experience required
• At least 2 years full time experience in specialized units within the last 2 years required
• Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments in the past 12 months working full time in an acute care setting
• Two clinical references required from the last two places of employment, covering the last year, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or Director
• Previous employment history required for the past 7 years
• Current skills checklist required, valid within one year

• First-time travelers are not required to have previous travel experience for local submission but hospital notes indicate a preference for prior travel assignment history

• Radius rate eligibility applies within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position at this facility at a time
