Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring ERCP experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Endoscopy unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
• 3 procedure rooms with 11 beds and an average daily census of 20
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule of 2x10-hour and 2x8-hour shifts totaling a 36-hour week (6:30 AM start)
• Uses Epic and Pyxis systems
• No floating required
• Weekend coverage required 2-3 times per contract
• On-call required one weekday per week and one weekend per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Must be able to work through pre/post, circulate, and tech roles
• Required procedure experience: ERCP (including ERCP with Spy Glass), Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Colonoscopy, EGD, and ION Procedure
• Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Prior charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for GI/Endoscopy procedures and administering/monitoring conscious sedation
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Max 7 days RTO per contract, finalized at time of submission with no changes allowed after offer or during orientation week
• Blackout dates apply for RTO during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Holiday coverage required; if 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment no holiday RTO can be requested, and if 3 holidays fall during the assignment one holiday RTO request may be considered
• Major holidays include New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Day
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers previously cancelled or DNR'd by a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
