Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience and GA or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit setting
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call requirement of one 12-hour shift per schedule
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- 8-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Clinical screening required to determine fit for the unit, with final decision made by the hiring manager
- Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance results in a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation schedule
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of submission
- No RTO permitted during orientation week
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who cancel or receive a facility DNR must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
