Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a HI RN license and at least 3 years of circulating experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Operating Room setting with 6 OR suites plus one dedicated to C-sections
- 4 to 6 rooms running simultaneously in a small but busy and efficient OR
- Circulates cases across General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology procedures
- Uses Epic, Pyxis, and Provation systems
- Variable shifts operating Monday through Friday from 0645 to 2315 based on department needs
- Scheduled 40 hours per week, with possible reduction to 32 hours during holiday weeks
- Assigned call responsibilities 24/7, averaging 1-2 times per week plus up to 2 weekends per month
- Must respond to call within 30 minutes
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required (must obtain upon acceptance)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience circulating cases in a hospital setting required
- Ability to independently circulate across multiple surgical specialties
- Ability to scrub cases preferred
- Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for call-back requirements
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating cases, assisting with turnover cleaning, transporting patients as needed, and scheduling cases
- Orientation on day shift for up to 1 week, subject to manager's discretion
- Must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract if RTO is requested and approved
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, with appointments scheduled at the Hilo location
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
